Day 20 of 365 - "Toys. When you're not looking" project

There’s no wrong way to pick out a Reese’s...

Shot with the Nikon D7000 and Nikon 35mm F1.8G prime lens.  Manual exposure mode, F13, 1/60th second shutter speed, ISO 100, spot metering.  The main light was one Alien Bees B800 studio strobe on an Avenger C-Stand with a boom arm.  Strobe was @ 1/4(ish) power and diffused through a 60" Photoek Softlighter II, positioned over top of the table with the white seamless at a slight angle.  Flash triggered via PocketWizard Plus II radio triggers on strobe and camera.  A Nikon SB900 in manual mode @ 1/16th power and shot into a large sized Rogue Flashbender was placed on either side of the white seamless paper to keep it white.  Each of those SB900s were triggered by the built in SU-4 optical slave mode.   Camera tripod mounted and shutter triggered with Nikon infrared remote.

In 2013, I'm doing a 365 shot a day project with the theme "Toys. When you're not looking". The idea is to capture familiar toys dealing with the situations and challenges that life throws at them in the real world, just like a human would.  You can follow the progress of the project on http://GreggObst.com
