Taming the carb cravings...
Shot with the Nikon D7000 and Nikon 35mm F1.8G prime lens. Manual exposure mode, F18, 1/50th second shutter speed, ISO 200, spot metering. Camera was tripod mounted and shutter triggered with Nikon infrared remote.
Main Light was a Nikon SB900 speedlight in manual mode @ 1/16th power, flash head zoomed to 105mm, gelled with a full cut of CTO (color temperature orange) gel. That flash was on a light stand to camera left and triggered with a PocketWizard Plus II radio transceiver. The rim light off in the distance was a Yongnuo YN560 II in manual mode @ 128th power, flash head zoomed to 105mm with a HONL 5" speed snoot to make just a small spot light in the background. That flash was mounted in the cold shoe on a Manfrotto Justin Clamp which was clamped to the window sill and the flash was triggered via optical slave mode.
The donuts were via Dunkin and they were set to delicious mode.
In 2013, I'm doing a 365 shot a day project with the theme "Toys. When you're not looking". The idea is to capture familiar toys dealing with the situations and challenges that life throws at them in the real world, just like a human would.
