A portion of the right side of St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. Image created on 2-21-2013. The cathedral was completed in 1878 and dedicated on May 25, 1879. It is currently in the first phase of a planned $177 million, three year long renovation to make extensive repairs to the structure. There was scaffolding setup everywhere making a clean composition very challenging.
Camera: Nikon D7000. Sigma 10-20mm lens @ 14mm. Camera was mounted on a Giottos Mini Ball Head that was then mounted on a Manfrotto Super Clamp that was clipped to the back of the pew in front of me.
Settings: Aperture priority mode F11, ISO 100, spot metering, exposure bracketed for one set of three frames with 2 stop variance (-2, 0, +2 EV range).
