The latest entry into my "Toys. When you're not looking" project, who's theme is to capture familiar toys dealing with the situations and challenges that life throws at them in the real world, just like a human would.  You can follow the progress of the project on 

Setup Info: 

Shot with the Nikon D7000 and Nikon 35mm F1.8G lens.  Manual exposure mode, F8, 1/125th second shutter speed, ISO 100, spot metering.  Camera was tripod mounted and shutter triggered with Nikon infrared remote.    

Main Light: 

Alien Bees B800 studio strobe @ 1/128th power in a 22" Paul C Buff white-lined beauty dish with white diffusion sock on the front.  Strobe and beauty dish mounted on a boom arm attached to an Avenger C-Stand hovered about two feet over the white seamless and in front of the subject. 

Fill Light:

Alien Bees B800 studio strobe @ 1/64th power shot through a 34" Westcott white satin shoot through umbrella placed to camera right on a light stand

Strobes triggered via a set of PocketWizard Plus II radio transceivers, one on each strobe and the other on the camera.
