These abandoned houses dot the countryside in Kent County on Maryland's Eastern Shore. This particular house had a wooden foundation that once rotted, caused the center of the house to sag downward, making it uninhabitable.
I shot this on Saturday, 4-6-2013 with the Nikon D7000 and Nikon 28-70mm F2.8 FS lens @ 38mm. Aperture priority mode F9, ISO 100, spot metering, exposure bracketed for one set of three frames with 1 stop variance (-1, 0, +1 EV range). Camera was tripod mounted and shutter triggered with Nikon infrared remote. Tone map post processing of the exposure brackets done with NIK HDR Efex Pro 2. Further processing done in Photoshop CS5. Creepy victorian boy added from a collection of old vintage photos.
