The Gothic Revival styled pig barn and chicken coop of the Star Barn comples sits under a collection of heavy storm clouds. Title quote by Dorthy Parker.
The Star Barn complex is located in Middletown, PA just off route 283. It was built in 1872 and there have been fund raising drives and organizational activities in recent years centered around moving the entire Star Barn complex to a new home in Grantville, PA where it will act as a museum and agricultural community outreach of sorts. I shot this back on 4-17-2010 with the Nikon D300 and Sigma 10-20mm lens @ 13mm. Aperture priority mode F14, ISO 400, matrix metering, exposure bracketed for one set of five frames with 1 stop variance (-2, -1, 0, +1, +2 EV range). Camera was tripod mounted and shutter triggered with Nikon wired remote. Tone map post processing and B&W conversion of the exposure brackets done with NIK HDR Efex Pro 2. Further processing done in Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 4.
