Located on Old Wye Mill Road in Queenstown, Maryland, this mill was built in 1682 and restored in the early 1990s by the Society for the Preservation of Maryland Antiquities. The initial operator of the enterprise was Richard Sweatman who operated two local grist mills including this one. The Wye Mill is the oldest surviving frame mill on Maryland's Eastern Shore and the oldest continuous commercial enterprise in the state of Maryland.
