Climb aboard

This is the cab of Pennsylvania Railroad diesel locomotive No. 5901.  Pennsylvania Railroad Class EP20. Purchased 12/1976 from Penn Central Corp. Restored by RMPA to late 1940s-early 1950s appearance. 1st generation diesel on PRR.  It has a fuel oil capacity 1200 gallons and weighs 315,000 lbs when fully loaded.   If you are a country music fan (I am not),  this is the same locomotive that appears on the cover of Alan Jackson's CD "Freight Train".

Found in the inside hall ar the Railroad Museum Of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.  Really wish I had brought along the Sakai Toyo field camera for it's perspective correction with the rear tilt to fix those vertical lines.
