I spotted this sign along the side of the road while traveling in Carbon County, Pennsylvania. At first it looked like a marquee sign for an abandoned drive-in theater but after further investigation I found that the theater is open and showing movies currently. After sitting abandoned for several years, the Mahoning Drive-In Theater was re-opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 29th, 2015 after clean up efforts were start in 2013 by Mike Danchak who also renovated the Angela Theater in Coaldale, Pennsylvania. The Drive-In first opened for business in 1948.
