A look into cell block 14 at Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The prison was originally built in 1829 and closed in 1971 remaining abandoned for several decades before being re-opened to the public as a tourable historical attraction. A lot of the digital photographers that you see shooting at the prison HDR the hell out of shots like this to open up all the shadows but I think they are missing the point of the scene entirely. The shadows in this particular area are what's important. Keep the shadows because that's where the mystery lives. Oh, and shoot film !
