A section of the carriage house building at the Cairnwood Estate within the Bryn Athyn Historic District in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Cairnwood was the home of wealthy industrialist John Pitcairn.  The state was constructed from 1892-1895.

Technical details:
Sakai Toyo 5x7" large format metal field camera with 4x5" film back.
Fujinon-W 210mm F5.6 lens in Copal B shutter.
Wratten # 12 yellow filter on lens.
Arista EDU Ultra 200 (re-branded Fomapan) B&W Film, shot at ISO 160.
1/15th second at F32.
Developed in Adox Rodinal 1:50 dilution for 7 minutes, 20 seconds @ 20 degrees Celsius using Beseler 8x10 color print drum placed on Unicolor Uniroller 352 auto-reversing rotary base.

Glencairn, built between 1928 and 1939, was the home of the Raymond and Mildred Pitcairn family for forty years. Pitcairn designed Glencairn as a Romanesque-style “castle” for his outstanding collection of medieval objects, purchased as inspirational models for the artists working on Bryn Athyn Cathedral located across the street. Influenced by the American Arts and Crafts Movement, Pitcairn established on-site workshops to produce handcrafted works of art for both the Cathedral and Glencairn. Visitors experience a wealth of handcrafted creations in stone, wood, stained glass, and mosaic.  

Today Glencairn serves as a museum of religious art and history. Pitcairn’s collection of medieval stained glass and sculpture is considered to be one of the country's finest.  Glencairn Museum is a member of the Bryn Athyn Historic District, a National Historic Landmark.

317 days into a 365 project I suppose I should include some color work too so here is the first color introduced into the project.  Located in Montgomery County Pennsylvania and not far from Philadelphia, Bryn Athyn Cathedral is home to the General Church of New Jerusalem (New Church).  It was constructed between the years 1913 and 1928 with work on the stained glass windows and interior decoration continuing into the early 1940s and beyond.  The building was dedicated in 1919.

This is my final image from the series on the Norristown State Hospital in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.  This is the rear of building # 18 which, from my research, was either an administration building or personnel building of sorts. It was built in 1879 and has been abandoned for decades.

The service door at the back of building # 17 at Norristown State Hospital in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.  The structure was built in the 1880s and abandoned since the 1960s.

The south end of building # 17 at Norristown State Hospital in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.  Patients would be rolled out onto these open air porch areas on either the second or third floors for fresh air.  The institution was originally known as the State Lunatic Hospital at Norristown.  This structure dates to around 1880 and was designed by Wilson Brothers and Company.  It has been abandoned since the 1960s.

Ivy encases a broken ground floor window on the south end of the abandoned building # 17 at Norristown State Hospital in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.  The institution was originally known as the State Lunatic Hospital at Norristown.  This structure dates to around 1880 and was designed by Wilson Brothers and Company.  Norristown was historic as being the first institution in the United States to allow female physicians to practice. Building # 17 has been abandoned since some time in the 1960s and has been used at various times by firemen to practice rescues and fire fighting procedures.
